WHAT IS THE GREAT LAKES TUNING METHOD?
stevewyse.com/FAQ-10.html
Compared to the more traditional Lakota tunings where the player must keep the 3rd or 4th finger down to play the scale, the player just liftes one finger at a time using all 6 holes to play the scale with an addition of one extra note above the octave (except on some A flutes). Basically, these flutes play just like Recorders only they are tuned to the minor scale.
Most all of Steve's flutes are tuned +/- 25 hz to concert pitch. If you need exact tuning, please contact me.
